1- Day Equator Safari
Best Safari Tour!
This one-day Equator tour takes you to Uganda’s Equator, an imaginary line that splits Uganda into two, the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. In this short Uganda tour to the Equator, you will also do a Kampala city tour before setting off for your incredible moments at the Equator.
We will take you to some of the 7 major hills of Kampala and making visits to amazing sites such as Kibuli Mosque which commands a panoramic view of Kampala city; National Museum where you can learn about Ugandan history, traditional lifestyle, instruments and adornments and Nakasero Market where fresh vegetables and fruits are sold.
Afternoon: Drive to the Equator (2 hours)
After an early morning Kampala city tour, it’s two hours’ drive, when you arrive there, you will be applauded warmly by one of the tour guides who will explain how and why the equator is truly crossing through there.
He will point out where the 0 degrees’ latitude traverses, point out the southern hemisphere and also the northern hemisphere. With the help of the magnetic fields and the water used, he will show you that in the Northern pole, the water will sink out through the hole in the clockwise angle. However, in the southern pole, the water will sink down the hole in a counter-clockwise as caused by the magnetic fields. Go for lunch and drive back to Kampala.

Uganda gorilla permits cost $600 and Rwanda gorilla permits cost $1500. These have to be acquired months before your trip to be assured of viewing the mountain gorillas. Read more about booking gorilla permits.
Best time to visit Uganda
The best wildlife viewing months in Uganda are during the Dry seasons from June to August and December to February. Primate walks in the forest are a big part of any safari in Rwanda. The habitat of rainforests is, by default, very wet, and one can’t avoid rain completely.
